Is AquaClass Worth It?
The decision between Aqua Class and Concierge Class on Celebrity cruises really comes down to which perks are right for you. Choose Aqua Class if you want to spend a lot of time in the spa and its thermal suite or prefer healthier dining options than you'll find in the main dining room. Choose Concierge Class if you don't mind paying extra for a prime cabin location and some nominal extra amenities.
Suite Water Service
While Aqua Class staterooms deliver perks perks for the health- and wellness-conscious cruiser, Celebrity Concierge Class passengers receive broader ship-wide benefits. The Retreat is the name of Celebrity's version of "ship within a ship" concept, where suite guests pay extra to get a number of exclusives available only to them. I agree with those that suggest the SV is the better choice, if still available, to spend the savings on Specialty restaurants if you get tired of the four MDR restaurants. The menus I saw online look very good in those as if they're specialty restaurants too. Plus the real balcony overlooking a wonderful aft, wake view can't be matched on port or starboard.
Wellness enhancing perks include:
AquaClass Staterooms are designed for those seeking wellbeing and relaxation - and with unlimited complimentary access to the Persian Garden, you can unwind in complete tranquility. Hi has anyone experienced aqua class onboard a celebrity solstice class ship ? What are the main advantages and does the evening menu change? Also is it easy to dine in the main restaurant in the evening if you wish? Celebrity Beyonds Aquaclass staterooms will be dedicated to wellbeing, featuring private balconies, eXhale bedding, a personal spa concierge and complimentary dining at clean cuisine restaurant Blu. Celebrity Aqua Class cabins add spa-themed perks and amenities to the standard balcony cabin experience.
We enjoy Aqua, and do not partake of all the perks/benefits offered. Those that we consider to be sufficient justifies the worth our expenditure. Convenience plays a big part in our cruising enjoyment. The hot rooms weren’t hot enough and it wasn’t an enjoyable space. I think a Persian Garden needs to have hot loungers with a sea view to be worth it. In conclusion, Aqua Class on Celebrity Cruises presents a compelling option for those seeking a cruise experience that goes beyond the ordinary, focusing on wellness, comfort, and exclusivity.
Expanded Focus For Wellness On Celebrity Beyond
There was also poolside food available to order for a few hours for lunch and assorted treats served by surprise other times. For example, we were offered ice cream cups one afternoon, while another afternoon, we were served colorful, refreshing fruit skewers. If you are a guest of AquaClass or Concierge, you can receive sparkling wine and fruit when you arrive to your suite upon request. All three classes take beach towels provided in the suite to offshore excursions for use during the cruise.
Inside the AquaClass Stateroom on Celebrity Beyond
The Retreat may be the ultimate way to enjoy all the perks Celebrity Cruises has to offer, while AquaClass is ideal for wellness-focused cruisers. If you want to dip a toe into upgraded class waters to try it out, a Concierge-level suite could be the perfect fit. The exception is for The Retreat guests because all perks – like WiFi and premium drinks – are already included.

I usually went to the main dining room for lunch where they serve a 3 course meal, or headed to the buffet for something quick. Plus the room won't be any bigger than veranda or concierge, balcony quite small--and right under the noise of furniture being dragged about. The location makes it easy to avoid taking the elevator as everything's just a deck up... We booked Aqua on our first Celebrity cruise, and were hooked. For us it is the smaller dining room and the ability to request substitutions. We also typically cruise once a year, so we aren’t repeating the Blu menu over and over.
Which Cruise Lines Have Single Cabins
But everyone likes different thing sand has different values, so I would never knock anyone who does think it’s worth it. The menus were curated in partnership with lifestyle brand goop, whose founder Gwyneth Paltrow was recently revealed as the lines new wellbeing advisor. Anyone passionate about this sort of lifestyle will struggle to find a cruise accommodation option that is better suited to them. Typically, you should expect to pay in the region of $400 to $800 more per person for an AquaClass stateroom over the cruise-only fare for a Veranda Stateroom.

Still, it’s a nice entry-level way to get a taste of what a higher level of service will be like with Celebrity Cruises if you’ve never experienced it. We felt special, loved that we could go to Luminae as our home base/default dining experience, and really enjoyed The Retreat Lounge for pre-dinner cocktails every day. The Sundeck was great for avoiding crowds at the main pool. If you’re not that into wellness or fitness, but you love the idea of a dedicated restaurant and some extra special attention, spring for The Retreat instead.
The smaller four (4) main dining room layout on Edge is one of the best changes Celebrity implemented on E Class ships. The additional CC Points probably don’t mean much if you already have Elite status. Not sure we would enjoy the IV cabins, so should we elect to cruise on a E class ship, we would most likely opt for a suite.
You will keep whatever perks you had in your original booking but not those cabin amenities. On a move up bid you receive the amenities of your new cabin, but not the booking perks. Pre-Covid I would have suggested upgrading to a Sky Suite for the Retreat and Luminae but I suspect the increased fares have gone through the roof.
